Numbers

Years ago I was photographing at Bill’s, a vintage boneyard in Rhode Island. When I developed the film (this was way before digital) and printed the negs, I spread out the images and one kept drawing my attention; the one that included a stenciled number 17. I was curious; the number 17 was what drew my attention over all of the other images. I got thinking about numbers and their significance; they’re important; they relate to everything, and are ubiquitous. Since then I have been shooting interesting compositions that included numbers whenever I found them.
